View Mental Health in an Ancient Light

Orthodox Christian Psychology

Viewing modern psychology and mental health through the Orthodox Christian lens

Come and see my personal journey through studying psychology (study of the soul!) in undergraduate college, researching in the field, working in psychiatry, and then studying mental health in graduate school. Learn about why modernly practiced psychology is completely incompatible with the ancient Christian faith of Eastern Orthodoxy (and Christianity in general), and about why most psychologists/psychiatrists aren’t being taught to truly help patients any longer. In my original works, visitors of this unique site will get to experience what it’s like to be an American student studying/working in mental health in 2015-2020’s era, and how we’ve fallen so short of actually making people mentally well. Reading my articles and videos will give viewers a deeper look into how the insidious forces that work beyond our individual power have so heavily influenced university and the mental health/medical field, much away from Christ and the holy saints. Hopefully many readers will not feel so alone on their journeys through college and mental health work, as I’m sure much of my experiences are familiar to Orthodox Christians and anyone else with similar values. Hopefully my works and experiences will be inspiring to those struggling to balance their faith and work/social life in this fallen world.
